FAQ

(Frequently Asked Questions)

Q: Why the name "Beechwood"?
A: Our 13 acre property contains a forest of large, beautiful Beech trees. ( And it's our favorite tree.)

Q: What version of the Bible do you use?
A: For unity sake we use the ESV during services but encourage people to use any translation that is both reliably accurate---as close to the orginal as possible---and readable in their devotion lives.

Q: What do you wear during your Sunday service?
A: Come as you are. The pastors dress casually as most people here do; some even have to come in their work clothes. We turn no one away.

Q: What should I expect at a Sunday Morning service? (10:00)
A: A friendly hello as you arrive, a refreshment if you want,  anonymity during the service (you won't be called out or recognized publically), the availability of the pastor or women's counselor if you would like to talk, a Spirit-filled worship experience that fills your heart, a dynamic message that will speak right into your life, and an invitation to come again!
Q: What do you offer for our kids?
A: Whatever it takes to see them grow up to be followers of Jesus, we focus on, from Kid's Church to parent training! We teach our children to enjoy the worship services with their parents, but a nursery is always available with qualified personnel. Kid's Church, Parenting classes if needed, and a free parenting book (God's A-Parent Image) written by our pastor. Additionally we are growing our own elementary school, Beechwood Christian Academy
Q: Do you have opportunities for ministry?
A: Yes! If you are qualified, become a member of Beechwood in good standing, and are called of God to a needed position - it's yours! We are currently looking for a volunteer leader for our Kid's Church (to replace the pastor); musicians and more singers to create other groups. We believe that believers don't need a position to use their gift. Find your calling and answer it!
Q: Although you are non-denom., what denomination are you closest to?
A: We are Reformed to the core. We are blessed by other Reformed ministries, such as those of John Piper, John McArthur, R.C. Sproul,  Nancy Pearcey, Beth Moore, Wayne Grudem, James R White, etc.. Pastor Shayne loves reading those not as Reformed as well: C.S. Lewis, NT Wright, Tozer, etc.

Q: What are your beliefs (Doctrinal)?

Please email your questions on the contact page. Thank You!
