Morning battle
There is a war
it is raging in our soul.
A battle of two ways,
the way of blessing, the way of toil.
Each morning is the battle field
which path will we choose
the path of least resistance
or the path leading to you!
We are not strong
the battle we cannot win,
but with the battle of the morning
your strength and victory enter in.
Blessed are the early hours
when they are spent seeking you.
Wonderful is the day
after the morning battle is through.
Difficulty is sent to reveal to us what God can do in answer to the faith that prays and works.
